LTC LIAM P. WALSH
LTC Liam Walsh is married to Christine O’Connell, a former C-17 pilot in the US Air Force; they have two sons, Cormac and Tristan. LTC Walsh was commissioned in 2006 from the United States Military Academy as an Infantry Officer. Following completion of training, he was assigned to 1-502 IN, 2/101 IBCT at Ft. Campbell, KY as a Weapons Platoon leader for 18 months, including a 14-month deployment to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007-2008. Upon redeployment, he served as the HHC Executive Officer for 1-502 IN. After completion of the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course at Ft. Moore, GA, LTC Walsh served as an Assistant Operations Officer for 2-1 IN, 5-2 SBCT at Joint Base Lewis- McChord, WA, where he deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2010. Upon redeployment, LTC Walsh assumed command of B Company, 2-1 IN, 2-2 SBCT in 2011. In 2012-2013, he again deployed to Kandahar, and while deployed took a second command of HHC, 2-1 IN. From 2013-2015, LTC Walsh attended Advanced Civil Schooling at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, MA, where he earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy. Upon graduation, LTC Walsh moved to Ft. Leavenworth, KS to attend resident Intermediate Level Education at the Command and General Staff College. In 2016, LTC Walsh was assigned to the 4 th Infantry Division at Ft. Carson, CO, where he deployed as the Division’s Chief of Operations forward in Germany and Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve. In 2017, LTC Walsh was assigned as the Battalion Operations Officer for 2-23 IN, 1/4 SBCT. LTC Walsh was then selected to serve as the Brigade Operations Officer for 1/4 SBCT, where he deployed to Eastern Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and dual-hatted as the Train Advise Assist Command-East (TAAC-E) G3 from 2018-2019. In 2019, LTC Walsh returned to JBLM, WA and volunteered to serve as the first Brigade Operations Officer for 5 th Security Force Assistance Brigade. After two years as the Brigade S3, LTC Walsh served as Troop Commander and Advisor Team Leader in A Troop, 3 rd Squadron, 5 th SFAB from 2021-2022. While in 5 th SFAB, LTC Walsh completed multiple operational deployments in the Indo-Pacific, including partnering with land forces in Japan and Mongolia. LTC Walsh then served as the Chief of Initiatives for the I Corps’ Commanding General’s Commander’s Action Group from 2022-2023. LTC Walsh took command of 4 th Battalion, 9 th Infantry Regiment, 1/4 SBCT on June 14 th 2023. LTC Walsh’s major award and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Polish Army Star, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He is a graduate of the Ranger Course, Basic Airborne Course, and the Combat Advisor Training Course. |
CSM Eragbai E. evborokhai
Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Eragbai E. Evborokhai enlisted in the United States Army in 2001 out of Baltimore, Maryland and completed Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. CSM Evborokhai has served in numerous positions to include Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman, Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader, Drill Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Assistant Operations Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant Major. CSM Evborokhai’s previous assignments include 1 st Battalion 14 th Infantry Regiment, 25 th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 2 nd Battalion 6 th Infantry Regiment, Baumholder, Germany; 1 st Battalion 7 th Field Artillery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; 2 nd Battalion 35 th Infantry Regiment, 25 th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 1 st Battalion 77 th Armor Regiment, 4 th Battalion 6 th Infantry Regiment, and Iron Training Detachment, 1 st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas, 3 rd Squadron 4 th Cavalry Regiment, 25 th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and is currently the Command Sergeant Major of 4 th Battalion 9 th Infantry Regiment “MANCHU” Fort Carson, Colorado. CSM Evborokhai’s deployments include two deployments to Iraq as a member of Task Force Dragon, 1 st Battalion 14 th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Gator 2 nd Battalion 6 th Infantry Regiment and to Kuwait as Task Force TF Steel Tiger 1 st Battalion 77 th Armor Regiment. CSM Evborokhai’s military and civilian education includes Sexual Harassment Assault Response Prevention Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Sergeants Major Academy, Combat Life Saver Course, Basic Life Saver Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course, Basic Airborne Course, Air Assault Course, Ranger School, Modern Army Combative Programs, Basic and Tactical Level Courses, Army Basic Instructor Course, and Drill Sergeants School. CSM Evborokhai has also attended foreign courses such as the Malaysian Jungle Warfare Special Course Pulada, Malaysia and Australian Jungle Operations Training Tully, Australia. CSM Evborokhai holds a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Maryland. and a Bachelor of Arts in Workforce and Leadership Development from the Command and General Staff College. CSM Evborokhai is also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Homeland Security at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Maryland.
